Shamita Shetty performs on 'Jhalak...' despite nose injury!

It had been lately informed that Shamita Shetty, who is one of the contestants on dance reality show, Jhalak Dikkhala Ja Reloaded, freshly met with an injury during the rehearsals of her routine, which resulted in a broken nose. But, it seems that despite this, Shetty has decided to go on with her performance, so as to not let down her fans.

For those who do not know this, Shamita lately injured her nasal bone during rehearsals and was bleeding profusely from the cut on the dorsum of the nose. She was diagnosed with a nasal bone fracture and also had to have a couple of stitches. Though the doctor has advised Shamita to have complete best rest for two weeks to allow proper healing, she is continuing to perform despite the injury as she does not want to disappoint her supporters.

Confirming the news, Shamita Shetty told, “Yes I have fractured my nasal bone but my performance is more important. The kind of love and support I've received from viewers is humbling and I do not want to let them down."

Sunny Leone prefers the South Film Industry over Bollywood?

Actress Sunny Leone, who was lately shooting in Bangalore for a special number in South film Luv U Alia, revealed that she likes working in the South film industry and that she had a great experience working in South films.

Explaining on the same, Leone told that she enjoys working in the South industry as there is always a positive atmosphere on the sets and also as no one tries to act fresh with her over there, which makes us wonder if Leone has faced such issues in Bollywood.

I've tried to take the high road on the outcome and ignore the people who've abused me and my family and nauseam online. But I was intimidated as protestors stood outside my house. I am grateful to our police for protecting us and request people to see that my words were about a subject and not a person. My goal was never to hurt anyone's sentiments. I have wholeheartedly & consistently supported the government's movements like Yoga Day and Swachh Bharat as I will do in the future as well. I hope we can focus on the issues that matter and that my appeal to improve our civic amenities is taken in the right way.''

Harshaali Malhotra gave him a tough time on 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' sets: Kabir Khan

Harshaali Malhotra, who has won everyone's hearts with her role as mute Pakistani girl Shahida in latest release Bajrangi Bhaijaan, reportedly gave director Kabir Khan a tough time while shooting the movie.

Explaining on the same, Kabir told that as Harshaali is quite a talkative girl, it was quite tough for him to get her to play the part of a mute girl. Khan also added that at times, Harshaali would say that she doesn't feel like crying when a certain scene required her to weep and Kabir had to spend time with her to convince her that she is supposed to cry in the particular scenes.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which also starred Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles, revolved around a Lord Hanuman devotee's efforts to reunite a mute girl with her parents in Pakistan.

While his last release Tanu Weds Manu Returns went on to become a hit, director Aanand L. Rai doesn't want to work with the film's leading lady Kangana Ranaut now and rumor has it that he wants to rope in Deepika Padukone for his next.

Apparently, Aanand wants to cast Deepika, who is enjoying a great career phase currently, in his untitled next. A source has been quoted telling that Rai wants to change up things a bit and therefore, does not want to work with Kangana.

In the meantime, Deepika is gearing up for the release of her next Bajirao Mastani, which has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also stars Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.

Parineeti Chopra, who has been missing from the big screen since quite some time now, will seemingly, essay the role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni's wife, Sakshi Dhoni in the Indian cricket team skipper's biopic, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.

News has it that the actress has been approached to play the female lead by the makers of the movie, which will star Sushant Singh Rajput in the titular role. However, Chopra's spokesperson has refuted the rumours.

Pari has previously shared screen space with Rajput in YRF's Shuddh Desi Romance.

Kareena Kapoor Khan walks out of Section 84?

Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was supposed to play the central character in director Raj Kumar Gupta's next, Section 84, has walked out of the project.

Gupta has confirmed the rumors and has disclosed that it was a mutual decision as 'things didn't work out as planned'. Sources claim that Kareena, who was supposed to play a schizophrenic in the movie, was not happy with the final script. Gupta but has rubbished the rumors and has stated that the script excuse is the most appropriate one.

The film deals with Section 84 of the Indian Penal Code which states, "Nothing is an offence which is done by a person who, at the time of doing it, by reason of unsoundness of mind, is incapable of knowing the nature of the act, or that he is doing what is wrong or contrary to law."

It's going to be clash of the titans at the box-office, this Christmas, as Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani will lock horns with Rohit Shetty's Dilwale on December 18.

While Bhansali's period drama stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, Shetty's Dilwale features Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon.

When requested to comment on the Dilwale-Bajirao Mastani clash, Varun told, ''I have no idea about it as yet but I know for a fact that Dilwale is coming on December 18, for sure and our shooting is going on in full force so, I can't really comment on what they are doing or what they are not doing but all the best if they are releasing it on the same day.''

The looks of SLB's lead actors have already been disclosed and the film's trailer will be attached to Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Vir Das, Soha Ali Khan starrer '31 October' screened at London Indian Film Festival!

Actor Vir Das, who has made a career out of playing comic roles, will be next seen in a serious role in 31st October, a thriller about a Sikh family trapped in a dangerous situation during the anti-Sikh pogrom following the assassination of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.

What happens when a Maratha general falls in love with a Muslim warrior princess? Well, it lays the foundation of a historical romance, which is sure to be remembered till eternity. The teaser of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated film Bajirao Mastani has been unveiled and one look at it and you can safely say that it was worth all the wait.

The movie features Ranveer Singh as Bajirao, Deepika Padukone as Mastani and Priyanka Chopra as Kashibai. Ranveer looks dapper as the celebrated Maratha Peshwa and Priyanka looks lovely as his wife, dressed in navari sari. Deepika has two looks in the movie, one in which she is seen fighting her enemies clad in an armour, the second one is a more feminine one in which she is seen wearing anarkalis. Both Ranveer and DeePee are shown to be experts in horse-riding, archery and swordsmanship. The teaser also shows a glimpse of the much-talked about dance-off between the film's two leading ladies.

While many believe Mastani was Bajirao's mistress, the fact is that she was his lawfully wedded second wife and to reaffirm this, one can hear Ranveer saying towards the end of the trailer, "Bajirao ne Mastani se mohabbat ki hai ayyashi nahi."

Sooraj Pancholi and Salman Khan get emotional at launch event of 'Hero'!

Bollywood megastar Salman Khan, who is known for his good sense of humour took digs at his pupil Sooraj Pancholi when the latter broke down in tears at the trailer launch of his debut movie Hero, which is being produced by Salman.

When at the trailer launch event of the movie, when Sooraj was called upon the stage, the young lad broke down in tears and hugged Salman Khan, who did not seem shocked at all by this display of emotions. If this was not all, when introducing Sooraj and Athiya Shetty, Salman pointed at the crying Sooraj and joked, “Sooraj is the heroine of the film and Athiya is the hero of the film.” Must say that we were fairly taken aback by Salman's callous and sexist remark.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, Hero is slated to release on September 11 this year.

A couple of days back, a photo revealing Ajay Devgn and Shah Rukh Khan dining together in Bulgaria had gone viral, prompting everybody to believe that the two actors, who are not known for being pally with each other, have finally bonded.

But, Devgn lately set the record straight when he clarified that he considers SRK a colleague and not a good friend. Devgn added that though things are normal between them, they had just met in Bulgaria as colleagues and that it was a casual meet.

By the way, Devgn's wife Kajol is a good friend of Khan and the two will be next seen opposite each other in Rohit Shetty's next movie Dilwale.

Devgn will be next seen in Drishyam, which is the remake of a South thriller starring Mohanlal.

Sajid Khan may be replace Arshad Warsi as host Kapil Sharma’s Comedy Nights With Kapil!

After Kapil Sharma was advised bed rest following a back injury, actor Arshad Warsi had taken over as the host of popular chat show Comedy Nights With Kapil for an episode, which hosted Ajay Devgn and Tabu for the promotions of Drishyam.

But, it seems that for Warsi, it was just a one-time deal as Devgn wanted him to host the episode. Warsi lately disclosed that he won't be hosting the other episodes of the show and that Sajid Khan might take over as the host for other episodes. Arshad but added that though he had a great time hosting the episode, he was quite scared too as he had not prepared at all for the show.

Sajid has not confirmed or denied the rumors so far.

Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra’s addiction for the fresh tomatoes!

Actresses Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone will be seen sharing screen space in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's historical romance Bajirao Mastani and it seems that during the shooting of the movie, Deepika got Priyanka addicted to eating uncooked tomatoes!

Laughing about the incident, Deepika told that Priyanka once spotted her eating raw tomatoes with salt in a bowl and soon, PC too got hooked to it. It seems that the two often ended up eating 5-6 bowls of raw tomatoes each, much to Ranveer Singh's surprise! Deepika further added that her bonding with Chopra often baffled Bhansali, who wanted their characters Mastani and Kashibai to have some tension between them.

Bajirao Mastani is the love story of a legendary Maratha general and a Muslim warrior-princess. The movie is slated to release on December 18.

Karan Johar's forthcoming production endeavor Kapoor & Sons, which stars Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan, Alia Bhatt and Rishi Kapoor in the lead roles, will release on March 18, next year.

If rumors are to be believed, then ex- flames Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh will be seen romancing each other in Yash Raj Films' next.

Ranveer and Anushka were last seen together in Zoya Akhtar's multi-starrer Dil Dhadakne Do and it seems that they have managed to impress YRF scion, Aditya Chopra with their sizzling on-screen chemistry. Singh's spokesperson has but denied the rumors telling that Ranveer hasn't signed any movie post Bajirao Mastani.

Varun Dhawan has now become a part of Indian Cancer Society's anti-smoking campaign and in their newest advertisement he is seen urging the younger generation to ‘be smart and don't start'.

Varun shared the video on Twitter writing,

The video has been directed by Rikhil Bahadur and features actors from his movie Time Out, which was screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2012.

Rajkumar Hirani finishes brainstorm on the script for Sanjay Dutt Biopic!

Fans of filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, who are expecting updates on his next project, which would be a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, will cheer at reading this piece of news. Word has it that Hirani has just returned from the USA, where he had gone with Abhijat Joshi to brainstorm on the script.

A source close to Hirani told, ''After PK, Raju has got himself involved completely on his next project, which is Sanjay Dutt's biopic. This is the first time he would be working on a biopic. Although he has known Sanju for years and knows a lot about him, it's difficult to depict the same on big screen. Sanju played the main lead in Raju's directorial debut, which became a huge hit. Both of them share a great bond in real life."

News has it that Raju Hirani is really excited about Sanju's biopic, which is expected to star Ranbir Kapoor and looking forward to start shooting for the same. He wants to capture all the moments of Sanju's life and show all the known and unknown facets of his life to the audiences.

As suggested by the title, Shroff will play a rebel in the film and for each stage in the movie, director Sabbir Khan has shortlisted different looks for Tiger and reportedly, for one of his many avatars in the movie, Tiger will shave his head. Sources claim that when Tiger was told about the requirement of his look, he willingly agreed to part with his long locks.

As A Kid, I Used To Get Beaten Up By Parents A Lot: Salman Khan

On the silver screen, Bollywood megastar Salman Khan might have bashed up many bad people, but the Dabangg man lately confessed that as a kid, he used to get beaten up a lot by his parents because of his naughty nature.

When on the sets of Comedy Nights With Kapil to promote his forthcoming movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman told, ''I have had my share of punishments as a kid and I still remember that dad (Salim Khan) would be reading his newspaper every morning and our complaints would reach his ears. Then he would summon me and hit me with a rolled-up newspaper. Though it did not hurt much at the time, the angry expression on his face would make us pee our pants!''

Unnecessary to say, this candid confession made everyone, including Kapil Sharma guffaw. Salman will be seen sharing screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and child artiste Harshaali Malhotra in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which is slated to release this Eid.

3rd installment of 'Welcome Back' titled 'Welcome To The Jungle'!

Though the second edition of the Welcome franchise- Welcome Back is yet to hit the theaters, the makers of the film have already started planning the third instalment.

The movie will be titled Welcome To The Jungle and will star John Abraham, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala has confirmed the reports and has stated that it's an action movie and will feature 'some of the most complicated stunts ever filmed in a Hindi movie'. Buzz has it that the actors will play army officers in Welcome To The Jungle.

The third instalment of the hit franchise will have no linking with the previous two movies. In the meantime, the cast and crew is looking forward to the release of Welcome Back, which will hit the theaters on September 4.

Shahid's ex-flames avoid his wedding reception!

While just about the entire industry was present at Shahid Kapoor's reception to celebrate his marriage with Mira Rajput, the ladies with whom his name has been attached to in the past gave the celebration event a miss.

Shahid and his ex-flame Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is now wedded to Saif Ali Khan, were quite open about their relationship when they were dating each other and though, now everything is seemingly hunky-dory between them, Bebo gave his wedding reception a miss, even though she was among the first ones to be invited.

Shahid was also linked to his R…Rajkumar co-star Sonakshi Sinha and they added fuel to fire by being spotted at numerous public events together. Sonakshi too was not present at Shahid-Mira's reception.

Vidya Balan and Shahid's friendship came under scanner during the shoot of Kismat Konnection but, things didn't work out for them. Though Vidya's husband Siddharth Roy Kapur attended the marriage, the actress chose not to accompany him.

Shahid's colorful past crossed the boundaries of Bollywood, when his name got linked to tennis sensation Sania Mirza. But, these rumors died a natural death when Sania tied the knot with Shoaib Malik. Sania who was busy winning the Wimbeldon, didn't attend his marriage bash for understandable reasons.

When Bipasha Basu broke-up with her long-time boyfriend John Abraham, she found comfort in Shahid Kapoor's company, suggested rumors. Reports suggested that Shahid used to shower the Bong beauty with several gifts and Bips obviously used to love all the attention. Unhappily, things didn't work out between them and Bipasha too joined the absentee list.

Shahid is said to have dated his first co-star Amrita Rao as well. But, in an interview the Vivaah girl stated that she has never dated Kapoor. They may not have been a number, but Amrita also wasn't among the attendees.

Shahid Kapoor got wedded to Mira Rajput on July 7 in New Delhi and the happy couple returned to Mumbai last night.

The couple was spotted at the Mumbai airport on July 8 and it was quite endearing to see a protective and loving Shahid holding his wife's hand. While Shahid was seen in a white shirt and blue jeans, Mira chose to wear a black and white Masaba Gupta suit.

Shahid himself drove his ladylove to their Juhu residence and the couple posed for the media outside their house.

Shahid will throw a lavish reception for his Bollywood friends on July 12.

Aamir Khan Productions looking for fresh female face!

Aamir Khan is looking for a new face for his forthcoming production venture and he recently took to Twitter to spread the word. But, there are two requirements- the actress must be in the age group of 12 to 17 and she should be a good singer.

Aamir posted on Twitter,

Aamir will be next seen in Nitesh Tiwari – directed Dangal, which is based on the life of wrestler Mahavir Phogat.

The designer attires for Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput for their wedding ceremonies!

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput got wedded in a close wedding ceremony in New Delhi on July 7 and the couple floored us with their sartorial choices.

On the occasion of sangeet ceremony, Shahid slipped into a red bandhgala by his designer friend Kunal Rawal and his bride wore a yellow and pink Anita Dongre lehanga-choli.

At the haldi ceremony Rajput wore a yellow Anamika Khanna suit and accessorized it with ornaments made of white flowers.

Shahid chose to wear a white sherwani by Kunal Rawal and his wife wore a baby pink Anamika Khanna lehanga for their wedding ceremony. While Shahid looked dapper in the traditional attire, his black shoes were an eyesore, jootiya would have taken the look a notch higher. But, we are forced to give him benefit of doubt as his saalis (sisters-in-law) may have stolen his shoes (jootey lelo, paise dedo). Mira completed her look with a chunky gemstone necklace, mangtika and a jhoomar.

At the reception in Delhi, the Haider star wore a black bandhgala suit by Rawal, while Mira opted for an embellished outfit by Anamika.
