Being an outsider turned out to be an advantage for me, reveals Anushka Sharma!

Actress Anushka Sharma had a dream debut in Bollywood opposite megastar Shah Rukh Khan in "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi", but her ride in tinsel town has been bumpy with several highs and lows.

Actress Anushka Sharma who earlier this month accomplished eight years since she walked into the showy Hindi movie world tells having no strings attached to film families, worked in her favour.

The actress told she started her journey with a clean slate without any "preconceived notions about the way you have to do things".

"Being an outsider turned out to be an advantage for me. I didn't come with any preconceived notions about the way you have to do things, so I just been exactly the way I am at home," Anushka said in an interview.

"Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" may have given her a good Launchpad, but her sail into showbiz was not smooth. If we talk about her film career, then it seems to be a case of numerous hits and misses.

She faced failure with movies like "Badmaash Company", "Patiala House", "Bombay Velvet", and "Matru ki Bijlee ka Mandola". But on the other side, she earned ovation for movies like "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", "PK" and "NH10".

Film "NH10" marked her venture into the filmmaking business as a producer.

She is presently riding high on back-to-back commercial success with "Sultan" and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil".

Be it a hit or a miss, Anushka never takes anything to heart, or get stuck in her mind.

"It is important to have that sense of reality (that) you will have successes and you will have failures and you will have to be somewhere in between," stated the 28-year-old actress who has also been in news for her relationship status with cricketer Virat Kohli, the trolls that followed after their rumoured break-up, and her infamous lip augmentation.

On the film front, she is working on Imtiaz Ali's next with working title "The Ring". It also stars Shah Rukh. Besides that, Anushka's next production endeavor is "Phillauri".

Ram Gopal Varma applauses Aamir's act in Dangal over Salman and SRK’s films!

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who is always in news for his debatable tweets, has again made headlines. And this time, he has openly attacked The Khans of Bollywood. Recently, RGV saw Aamir Khan's Dangal and took to Twitter and went on praising Aamir Khan.

But, with that, Ram Gopal Varma took a potshot at Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in a series of tweets.

Taking to his Twitter page, Varma shared, ''Just saw Dangal n zapped with Aamir's belief in Indian audience's intelligence that they can make such a niche idea into such a massive film. Super stars never grew up beyond wanting to look forever young n wanting to show 6 packs even after 50 n then comes fucking Aamir in Dangal. Want to touch Aamir's feet for his ever growing sincerity which was always there but it impossibly seems to be growing taller and taller. Other Khan's presuppose the audience to be dumb which I too think they are but Aamir respects n caters to their intelligence hidden behind. Aamir khan's films force the world to take India seriously and the other Khan's films make India look like a Choo***ya regressive country. Which Star of Bollywood since Alam Ara would have taken a decision of putting on weight to look like a father of grown up daughters? Seeing Dangal I feel all us in entire industry including other Khans should learn gymnastic martial arts and kick ourselves on our asses.''

By the way, RGV and Aamir worked only in Rangeela before they had a tiff after Varma allegedly insulted Aamir's acting skills.

Let’s check RGV’s twitter account and guess about his intentions.

Being objectified is part of my job, Priyanka Chopra!

Priyanka’s role as a sizzling villain in Baywatch has got all the eyes popping. The 34-year-old has emerged out as a sex symbol as much as we can make out from the trailer and posters. And while her sexy avatar has got many talking, Priyanka, in fact, considers the whole objectification as part of her job.

During a latest interview, she confessed, "Yes, being objectified is part of my job. I don't get offended by being called a sex symbol, because I'm an actress and it's the nature of what I do.”

But, Priyanka revealed being hot is not the only thing she aims for and added, "I don't think being a sex symbol is something you want to aim for. Of course, you want to be hot, but that's not all you want to stand for.”

Baywatch that also stars Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron will hit the silver screen on May 26.

Tamannaah Bhatia slammed director Suraj for objectifying heroines’ remark!

South actress Tamannaah Bhatia has criticized comments made by director Suraaj about objectifying heroines in Tamil filmdom, and has asked him to apologise to all women in the industry.

In a promotional interview during the release of his newest Tamil directorial "Kaththi Sandai", director Suraaj was asked how he succeeded to make Tamannaah look glamorous in the movie.

Suraaj's response has created an uproar in social media.

He told, "Audiences pay money to watch the hero fight and heroines in full glamour. As a director, I don't like to see my heroines fully clad in a sari. If we're paying money to watch a film, we should expect Tamannaah to look glamorous. Any commercial film should have glamour," Suraaj said.

He went on to add that all those heroines who made it big, chose the glamorous path to stardom.

"Whenever my costume designer presents my heroine in knee-length outfit, I'd ask him to cut it short. If my heroine gets angry, I'd tell her audience haven't paid so much for nothing," he further added.

When the clip went viral, Tamannaah took to Twitter to share her views, and told she was "hurt and angered by the comments made by director Suraaj".

She told, "I would definitely want him to apologise not only to me but to the entire women in the industry. We are actors and we are here to act and entertain audiences and should not at any point be objectified as commodities.

Having worked in southern filmdom for over a decade, she further added, "I have worn costumes which I'm comfortable with. It is sad that women in our country are spoken about so frivolously and I would like to tell my audiences that our industry should not be generalized due to comments made by one individual."

Suraaj was inaccessible for comment.

Whatever you do, do with diligence as if this is your last chance, advises Shah Rukh Khan to students!

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Monday suggested students graduating from Moulana Azad National Urdu University to do in life what is close to their heart so that they do not have regrets later.

Shah Rukh, who received the honorary doctorate from the University for his Contribution in promotion of Urdu language and culture through his movies, thanked the university and then shared his thoughts with the students.

He said the graduates, post graduates and Ph.D. students who received their degrees at the sixth convocation that he feels proud when somebody gets education as there is nothing greater than education in the world.

Talking in Urdu, the actor told they were at a threshold as they would be going out in the field to start their careers.

"Do for the whole life what you think you should do and what is close to your heart because when you come to my age or the age of your parents and teachers, there may be regret that you couldn't do a particular thing," he told.

Telling examples from his own life and the lessons he learnt from his father, Shah Rukh urged students to do everything in life with diligence.

"Whatever you do, do with diligence. Do it as if this is your last chance," he told among loud clapping by the students.

The actor told that usually the creativity which is one's hobby doesn't become his job. "I am one of the few fortunate. Acting which was my hobby also became my profession."

He told the students that poetry, writing, painting, singing or whatever creativity they have may not be recognized by the world.

"At one stage in life, when we may feel lonely and sad, our creativity will be our best friend," he told.

Shah Rukh confessed that he is bad at poetry but when he feels sad, he writes it down and feels peace with himself.

Talking about his father, the actor told he was very educated but poor and did not get any job and whatever business he started was a disaster.

He remembered that his father gave him lot of love and used to gift his personal belongings to him on his birthdays.

Stating that the first thing his father gave was a chess set, he said his father also told him that one can learn lessons of life from chess.

"The first thing you can learn is cooperation and how to work together. The second is sometimes you have to retreat to move ahead in life."

Stressing the significance of pawns in the game, the actor asked students to never consider anybody as inferior.

"Another important lesson is that sometimes to move ahead in life you have to sacrifice the thing which you develop affection with, like the queen," he told amid loud cheers by students.

Shah Rukh told the typewriter which his father gifted him taught him that just as one can't afford to commit mistakes in typing, one has to be diligent in whatever one does and that practice makes one perfect.

The actor also advised students to always keep sense of humour in life. "Always keep smiling. There should be a childlike innocence," he told.

He also advised students to be graceful with everybody in life whether they are good or bad.

"Life is the biggest gift. Good, bad, light or darkness respect everything," he further added.

But, Kriti has completely slammed all such reports and said a famous daily, “Apparently somebody has even posted a video, please check that out. He's not from a filmi background either so there's that common ground between us too.”

On the film front, they will next be seen together in Raabta.
