Would like to collaborate with Beyonce, she is amazing and a suave performer, says Priyanka Chopra!

International diva Priyanka Chopra got her first taste of international success when she released her single In My City feat will.i.am. Since then she has released two music videos - Exotic and I Can't Make You Love Me. Post that, she sang in her movies too Chaoroin Mary Kom and Dil Dhadakne Do title track. She made her Marathi language playback singing debut with Baba for her home production Ventilator.

When a famous tabloid questioned Priyanka of her plans of making music albums, she specified, "It went down the drain. I got really tied up, and when Quantico happened, I wasn’t prepared for it. Nobody expected it to run into so many episodes. We started with just 13 episodes and it blew up, so a lot of my time was spent in doing Seasons 1 and 2 of the show and Baywatch. Before that, Bajirao Mastani and Jai Gangaajal were happening at the same time. I was caught up with all my acting projects, so I couldn’t do music at that time."

Lately, brilliant musician Anoushka Shankar told that international artistes are looking forward to collaborating with Indians because they have realised we are tremendously talented. Agreeing with her, Priyanka told, "Of course, that’s true. It’s been happening for years in movies. Most American studios — Warner Brothers, Fox, etc, have set up here since six-seven years. That’s an old, famous mandate. We have technicians and writers coming down and working with us because we’re the biggest movie producing industry in the world. If you include regional films, we make about 900 movies a year. Our movies transcend borders. No other country can boast of something like that. In terms of business, India makes so much sense. The music industry is also realising that."

When questioned with whom she would like to collaborate for a song, the global icon responded, "In America, Beyonce. I think she is amazing and a suave performer. I admire her."

Priyanka even dosclosed that she has been missing riyaz due to her hectic schedule. "I’m terrible at Riyaz. I think that is also half the reason that I am scared of going back into the studio. I’m so nervous that riyaz nahi kiya, what will happen? But it is such an amazing experience to actually be in the studio and make music," she concluded.

No offense, but I don’t get the whole concept of arranged marriage. I’d rather know the person who I’ll settle down with. But if I had to put a cap on it, maybe I will get hitched in my 30s."

When questioned to choose between a biopic, a period movie or a superhero film, he told, "If I have to pick, for me, it is all about reinventing something and bringing a genre back. For example, Ittefaq it is not a remake; instead, it is an adaptation. It is a murder mystery that we are bringing back. We haven’t seen many murder mysteries of late, so it’s exciting to just bring back that genre. The superhero genre is also exciting, as are period films or sports-based films. Maybe I get to do a period film where the character plays a sport and even has superhero powers (laughs). So yes, [I’d choose] all three."

Sidharth will next be seen in A Gentleman which also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and is directed by Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru. The movie is scheduled to release on August 25, 2017.

Talking on the previous ban on the movie, Konkana, who will be seen in a prominent role in the movie told, “We don't have right the way man do. They are aggressive not only in India but around the world. It's time for a woman to own their sexuality.

Lipstick Under My Burkha’s Trailer with leading ladies star cast!

The official trailer of the controversial film, Lipstick Under My Burkha, is finally out. Starring Konkona Sensharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Aahana Kumra, Plabita Borthakur, Sushant Singh, Vikrant Massey and Shashank Arora, the film is scheduled to release on July 21, 2017.

"Lady-oriented" - that is what the Censor Board Of Film Certification (CBFC) called it while refusing to certify the film earlier. But, they were forced to certify it after the makers moved to the Tribunal.

Well, this 'lady-oriented' movie's official trailer is now out and it debunks numerous myths related to female sexual fantasies. It is a tight slap on our patriarchy-driven society which slut-shames a woman for having sexual desires and secret fantasies.

The film is about four women who are leading four separate battles for their freedom. In the trailer, we see the characters pose some uncomfortable yet poignant questions to the society.

"Aap Humari [women] azadi se itna darte kyun hai? [Why are you [society] so scared of our freedom?]," asks Plabita Borthakur. She further questions why is a woman being oppressed for decades now and not given the same respect and freedom to express like the other gender? The question which has been bothering us all for decades now!

A few scenes from the film are so hard-hitting and raw that it might even make people uncomfortable.

Konkona plays the role of an oppressed housewife and a mother of three. She lives the alternate life of an enterprising saleswoman. Ratna is seen as a 55-year-old widow who rediscovers her sexuality by indulging into sex talks.

Plabita will be seen as a college girl who struggles with the issues of cultural identity and also has aspirations to become a pop singer. Whereas Aahana, a young beautician wishes to elope with her lover and wants to escape the claustrophobia of her small town. Lipstick Under My Burkha is directed by Alankrita Shrivastava and produced by Prakash Jha.

Harshvardhan Kapoor wants me to work so that he can experiment, says Anil Kapoor!

Veteran actor Anil Kapoor is one proud father as his kids- both Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor are striving hard to leave their mark in the industry.

The doting father is also very happy with the kind of films Harshvardhan is choosing, however, maintains that he is also concerned for his son. Why?

In an interview to a famous magazine, Anil told, “I feel Harsh is still naive. For example, he’ll say no to very big filmmakers. I hope they understand that he really wants to work with them and means well, but he’s not ready to do those films. I wish he’d at least spoken to me before… But it’s fine… That’s his decision.”

But, Anil also repeated the fact that this won't affect his career because he has the option to explore and experiment, unlike him who had financial situations to handle.

“I was very rigid too. My second film was with Mani Ratnam. I was constantly meeting Shyam Benegal and Mrinal Sen. But there came a time when nobody cast me. I was desperate. Harsh is fortunate in that for his first two films he got to work with Rakeysh [Omprakash Mehra] and Vikramaditya [Motwane]. I would’ve loved to do my first two films with them. But I was in different economic strata and financial situation. So I had to make a few decisions that I didn’t necessarily want to,” Anil further added.

When Harsh was questioned about the kind of work he aspires to do, he told, “I don’t have to make ample amounts of money, and my films don’t have to make Rs. 200 crore. I’m really not interested in that. If it happens, that’s phenomenal. I’m just happy to have worked with two of the biggest directors around, and I don’t think you can put a price on that. I’m very clear about what I want. When people see my next filmBhavesh Joshi, I hope they like it. But the intention is to make a vigilante action film set in Bombay that you’ve never seen before.”

In a humorous conversation, Anil also exclaimed that Harsh wants him to work so that he [Harsh] can be experimental with his work.

My live shows are live, replies Ed Sheeran to trollers!

Singer Ed Sheeran, who is due to perform in India later this year, has hit back after he was accused of not performing live at his Glastonbury concert.

Sheeran took to Twitter recently to clarify that what the viewers and concertgoers heard during his performance was a skilled use of loop station instead of a backing track, reports a leading portal.

The "Shape of You" hitmaker told that he always performed live and asked people to google the difference between looping and backing track.

"Never thought I'd have to explain it, but everything I do in my live show is live, it's a loop station, not a backing track. Please google," he posted.

During his headlining set at Glastonbury, Sheeran performed fifteen songs, including "Castle on the hill", "Thinking out loud" and "You need me, I don't need you".

But, some viewers were confused when they heard guitar sound while the singer didn't play anything. This led to some Twitter users to accuse the singer of using backing tracks during his live performance.

A Twitter user posted, "Come on Ed Sheeran, where is the live band? Backing tracks! #live music!"

Another tweeted, "Did Ed Sheeran really 'play' Glastonbury last night? Sure he sang (pretty well) over a backing tape but did he 'play' anything? Guitar? No."

I believe in every lie I tell otherwise I wouldn’t be an actor, admits SRK!

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has time and again enthralled the viewers and given us some unforgettable hits. From being a flag bearer of romance to being a charmer, SRK has swooned both men and women for years now. The actor, who clocked 25 years in Bollywood recently, decoded his journey with us during a heart-to-heart conversation. Excerpts from the interview:

You lately accomplished 25 Golden Years. How has your journey been?
The one thing that stands out for me in these 25 or 26 years is that it happened very fast. I really feel it’s been only two-three years since I’ve been in Mumbai… I think I’ve got stuck in time. When I speak to my family, and see my children all grown up, so reality is there for me to see, but I do feel all of this happened so fast. I used to live in a house next door (next to Taj Land’s End in Bandra, Mumbai), then I shifted five houses down, so it is very shocking for me, it really feels like I’ve been around only for a few years. I really feel ‘abhi toh aayaa thaa main!’

“That’s why when people question for how many years I’m doing the same thing, and for how long I’ll continue doing it, I find it odd. Because for me, I have just arrived, if I am working with all these women, I’m also young right? But on a serious note, on days like this, what I do is, on Twitter people put all the pictures of me from all my films, and a couple of days ago I really sat down to count the pictures, there were so many posters there. I don’t even know how many films I’ve done. With all due respect to the film’s I’ve done, I really have to sit down and try and remember when I had clicked a certain picture, that’s when I feel a lot of time has passed, but it has passed so fast, I feel it was like yesterday!”

Have you watched Deewana?
I haven’t watched Deewana, I don’t even want to watch it, and I don’t say it out of ego, but I now watch all the new movies (laughs). The first reaction I got for Deewana was from Rakesh uncle (Roshan) at Mehboob Studio. He had told me ‘Tu bohot bada star ban gaya yaar (you’ve become a big star)’. And I asked him, ‘really?’ That was the time I used to walk back to my house from work, and two-three days had passed since the film has released. It was not like today when box office numbers come even before the film is released, and people even tell you what is good and what is bad in the film. But it wasn’t like that then, I remember how once I was walking past Salman’s house and a handsome Salim Khan was in the balcony, and he waved to me and told me, ‘Janaab aapki film bohot chal rahi hai, aap star ban jaaoge (your film is doing very well, you’ll soon become a star)!’ Or I think he said this when I was having dinner with him, he also said that when you go to a hair salon and when the barber asks you if you want a Shah Rukh hair cut, you have to know that you’ve become a star. After returning home, when I told Gauri that Deewana is a hit, she simply congratulated me.

He added later, "I want to work with better planning. If you do back to back films, then your personal life gets affected. It should be balanced."

Back then we were all drinking buddies, now it’s suddenly all about I, me, and myself, says Kajol!

Kajol has magnificently accomplished 25 years in the industry and has bowled us over with some memorable performances.

Back then, actors would concurrently sign 10-12 movies and shoot for more than one movie at a time unlike in today's times where actors are very choosy when it comes to the script. Getting frank about this with a leading daily, Kajol told, "That’s not because we had a personal equation with the filmmaker or better understanding at the time. That is because people have realised now that you can’t do everything. At that point of time, every film did well. I don’t think there was anything that you could have called a very big flop. It was a different time and space altogether and everyone watched everything because there was no other form of entertainment back then. Now, people are more conscious about what they are doing, what they are saying on and off screen. That also contributed a lot to it. Again, for the better and because it’s a different world today than what it was then."

In the 90's multi-starrers were all the rage, unlike today. On this, Kajol specified, "That’s the whole point. Nobody is that confident about the other person anymore, to do a multi-starrer. That is why I am saying that there definitely are some good changes, but there are also changes that are not-so-great. Back then, everyone was friends, everyone knew each other. We were all drinking buddies. We knew each other’s’ families, wives, and children. Now, it’s suddenly all about I, me, and myself... more about ‘me’ as a brand. Will I work with another person? Will that affect my brand equity? Will the other person overshadow me? So, yes, there are a lot of insecurities and considerations to take into account now."

Kajol really believes that Bollywood has changed for the better today. She disclosed, "It’s more professional. Bollywood has become a big industry. Earlier, the industry was much smaller and there used to only be a handful of people working. Now, there are corporates, so there are a hundred different avenues and reasons to have a job. The time has changed. In a lot of ways, for the good and in a lot of ways, for the bad."

Kajol will next be seen opposite Dhanush in Soundarya Rajinikanth's VIP 2.

Saif’s damage control statement after Amrita Singh’s criticism over his remark on Sara’s debut!

Bollywood’s ex couple Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh's daughter Sara Ali Khan's Bollywood debut has been grabbing headlines for months now. While firstly, Sara's debut was to happen under Karan Johar's banner Dharma Productions, lately, it was pronounced that she would finally step into Bollywood with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath with Sushant Singh Rajput.

When Saif was questioned about his daughter's debut in an interview lately, he expressed his nervousness over Sara choosing acting as a career.

Now, it seems Saif's remark hasn't gone down well with his ex-wife Amrita Singh. Apparently, she was livid about what Saif said and thought of it as a damaging statement. She called him up and criticized for the remark.

A source in the know informed the daily, "She told him it was an irresponsible thing to say considering Sara is about to embark on a film career.” The insider adds, “Saif didn’t want to be dragged into an argument, so he mumbled that he was ‘quoted out of context’ and calmed down his former wife."

Interestingly, after that phone call, Saif at another press conference did the damage control. He told that his statements were taken out of context. "I love my daughter, support her and I think her choice is great. Of course, she is an actress, she belongs to a family of artistes, which is great, but I am still a little concerned for her as it is an unsure profession. Because I love her, I worry for her. That’s all I am saying. Is that clear? People write things like, ‘He doesn’t know what he is saying. He doesn’t know his mind.’ I find that annoying," clarified Saif.
