After Mohenjo Daro failure, Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is
back with a bang as he gears up for his next titled Panipat which is based on
the third battle of Panipat and is a high-octane action movie.
The film stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in
the lead and film will be going on floors in mid-2018.
Speaking about working with Sanjay, Ashutosh revealed to a daily,
"I shared screen space with Sanjay in Naam (1986), which was a memorable
co-acting experience. It will be great to direct such a versatile and talented
actor."
About Arjun, Ashutosh added further, "What impresses me
most about Arjun, apart from his fine performances, is his dynamism. He had
played double roles twice (Aurangzeb, 2013 and Mubarakan 2017), and has
portrayed an action hero as well as a lover boy."
When it comes to the female lead Kriti, Ashutosh further added,
"I needed someone who is beautiful and a good performer. The eclectic
combination of these three is a first for me, and I look forward to this
exciting journey with them."
The first look poster of Panipat is out and it sees a royal
hand holding a sword ready for action.
